What is the e-mail administration?
E-mail administration is a web based program to allow you to handle your own e-mail accounts. A postmaster password is supplied which grants you access to the web program. Once you have authenticated, you can add, delete or change any of your e-mail settings for your domain, including modifying POP3 accounts, aliases, autoresponders and mailing lists.
What is POP3?
POP3 is the protocol your e-mail program uses to communicate with our servers to transfer your mail. It is the most common way to transfer mail from servers, and is standard in popular clients such as Outlook, Eudora and others.
How do I access the e-mail administration?
Simply point your favorite web browser to http://emailadmin.yourdomain.com , where yourdomain.com is a domain you host with us. It is standard with all packages.
How do I log into the e-mail administration?
You need to type in you master account name (usually postmaster), your master accounts' password and finally your domain name.
How do I create a email account?
From the main menu select "New Email Accounts". Enter the email account username and password. Enter the real name of the Email user. If you have mailing lists setup, you can subscribe this pop user to those mailing lists by checking the appropriate boxes.
How do I remove a email account?
From the main menu select "Email Accounts". Find the email username you would like to delete and press the button corresponding to "Delete Account". The email account is automatically deleted. Do not delete the postmaster account, as it is the master account for your domain, and you will not be able to log into E-mail Administration again.
What is a forward?
Forwards are settings that forward mail from one email account to another or to another email address. You can setup a forward so that any incoming mail to a email account can be forwarded to another email account or to an external mail account.
How do I setup a forward?
From the main menu select "New Forward". Enter the either the full email address that mail is to be forwarded to, for example "you@yourdomain.com". Into the local name select the local email name to be forwarded. Then click "add".
How do I remove a forward?
From the main menu select "Forwards". Find the forward to remove and select the delete button for it.
How do I modify a forward?
From the main menu, select "Forwards". Find the forward you want to modify and select the modify button. Enter a new email address for mail to be forwarded to. Then click change.
What is a Mail Robot?
A mail robot is a automated outgoing message to anyone who sends an e-mail to a specific email account. You can completely customize the outgoing message to suit your needs.
How to I setup a mail robot?
From the main menu click on "New Mail Robot". Enter the e-mail address that it will respond from (a.k.a. the email account that the mail robot is responding to). Enter a subject and message for the mail robot. Click add.
How do I modify an mail robot?
From the main menu click "Mail Robots". Find the name of the mail robot you wish to modify and click modify. Change any of the details you wish to modify then click save.
How do I remove an mail robot?
From the main menu, click "Mail Robots". Find the name of the mail robot you wish to remove and click the delete button.
What is a mailing list?
A mailing list is basically a list of subscribers who all receive messages to the list. Similar examples of such lists are listserves or YahooGroups. You can operate your own list from our servers, and e-mail administration helps to set them up.
How do I setup a mailing list?
From the main menu select "New mailing list". Enter the name of the mailing list and the list owners e-mail address. After this you have a list of options for you new mailing list. You can turn options off and on by placing checkmarks next to the items you wish to enable.
What do these mailing list options mean?
Message Moderation
A list moderator must accept each message before it is posted to the group.

Archive
Determines if a message archive is kept.

Block Archive
Determines who has access to the archive, moderators only or moderators and subscribers.

Digest
Allows users to choose if they would like to receive every message as they are posted, or one message containing all messages received to the list during that day.

Prefix
Puts the mailing list name in a prefix in the subject line of all outgoing emails.

Archive Guard
Determines who can access the archive, only people subscribed to the list, or everyone.

How do I moderate a mailing list?
When setting up a new list, select "Message Moderation". The list owner, by default, is the message moderator. You can later add and remove moderators through the main menu.
How do I remove a mailing list?
From the main menu select "Mailing Lists". Find the mailing list you wish to remove and select the delete button.
How do I add moderators to a mailing list?
From the main menu select "Mailing Lists". Find the mailing list you wish to add a moderator to and select the button for add moderator. Enter the e-mail address and select add. The moderator is now added.
How do I remove a moderator from a mailing list?
From the main menu select "Mailing Lists". Find the mailing lists you wish to remove a moderator from and select the button for remove moderator. Enter the moderators e-mail address you wish to remove and select delete. The moderator is now removed.
How do I show the moderators for a mailing list?
From the main menu select "Mailing Lists". Find the mailing list you wish to view and click on show moderators. It will show the moderators for your mailing list.
How do I add subscribers to a mailing list?
From the main menu select "Mailing Lists". Find the mailing list you wish to add subscribers to and select the button for add subscriber. Enter the e-mail address of the new subscriber and click add. The new subscriber will now receive e-mails to the list.
How do I remove a subscriber to a mailing list?
From the main menu select "Mailing Lists". Find the list you want to remove a subscriber from and select the delete subscriber button. Enter the e-mail address of the subscriber you wish to remove and select delete. The subscribe is now removed.
How do I show a subscription list of a mailing list?
From the main menu, select "Mailing Lists". Find the list you want to see subscribers of and select the show subscribers button.
