What is data?
Data is the information that is either stored on our servers or transferred via the Internet to you or others. Data is sent in units called bits which are grouped by 8 into bytes. Each byte in a tiny bit of information, whether the text or picture on a web site or other forms of information. A kilobyte is 1024 bytes and a megabyte is 1024 kilobytes.
How do you bill for data?
On the first day of the month we determine 2 things:

1. How much data is stored on your website this month?
There is no real cap on the amount of data you can store on our servers at any one time. Just because you have a 50 MB limit on your account doesn't mean that you are restricted to those 50MBs of data space. Instead, we determine the maximum amount of data that was stored on our servers by you and/or your associates and/or assigns at any one time. We then charge for the that amount of space, according to the plan you purchased.

2. How much data was transferred during the previous month?
On the first of the month we determine how much data was transferred on your account. This is the sum of: a) web site traffic b) e-mail traffic and c) FTP traffic. As with data storage, there is no hard limit on how much traffic you can use, but you will be billed in increments according to your plan.
